Huge Shamrock Welcome to our new Team Member, Lachlan Greig ☘

Lachlan is from Aghada, Co Cork.

I met Lachlan at our bar during the recent Cork/Offaly Game, got chatting and enticed him to join our crew.
Maybe feeling sorry for me after Cork hammering Offaly he agreed to come on board. Every cloud has a silver lining 😉
So, with Lachlan now part of the gang, we have decided to open 7 days and not close on Monday's.
For now, we will operate "bar only" on Monday's. Kitchen will remain closed, it will be drinks only.
Looking forward to seeing you all and welcoming Lachlan to the bar.

Super turnout today, as always for the matches.
Packed bar and Terrace. No seats free!!!

Chef Jay's car was parked out front bringing in deliveries.

A huge thanks to my dear friend and Offaly Hurling legend, Joe Dooley for gifting me a loan of his Official Offaly Jersey to wear on the day.

Thanks also to Joe's fabulous wife Marie, who is from Cork, for kitting our Jody out in the Cork Colours ❤🤍

So, let the best team win.
We will have the craic and banter.

Our dear friend Colm took unwell on Saturday 28th February at our Bar.
Colm lost power to oneside of his body very rapid.
With care in our local hospital here in Benalmadena and then onto intensive care in Malaga for a week, his treatment was ongoing since.
Colm took a flight back to Dublin this weekend. Its been a long haul.
Back home to proper love and care.
These pictures were very emotional.

3rd of June 2021, we opened our doors. Shamrock Bar - Scanlons - Benalmadena......
5 years in Business today, but into our Sixth Season 🥰
What a journey it has been since....
Thank you soooo much to each and everyone of you who have walked into the bar and into our lives.
You have all been amazing.
The appreciation is, actually beyond words.
The support from Edenderry, Kinnegad, and surrounding areas from home.
To all from Ireland, Spain and the rest of Europe.
To everyone in UK, Canada and US and Worlwide.
Everyday a different story.
We cannot personally thank everyone as there are too many, but....
To our families and very dear friends, for your love, patience and support, it's just unbelievable daily.
Also, we couldn't do it without Jody, Jay and Janine, and our recent new members, Mike & Gabby. Thanks so much to you all.
So extremely grateful to everyone.
What will the next 5 years bring 😉

Beyond proud to have my Dad's first Cousin Tom Glynn at the bar.
Dad was more like Tom's big brother...
We are a typical Irish Family! Sur they were all reared together....
The rest is history, but we will continue the future memories ❤
Welcome Tom and his amazing wife Celine, every time we meet Celine, we chat and chat and I love our chats.
Also to Sinead and Liam McCarthy, lifelong friends.
Our dear friends Pat and Pauline Reynolds, who, everytime come to their Costa Del Sol home include us in their visit.
