Well… as an England fan, I’m a little disappointed this morning! 😢⚽

Huge congratulations to the Argentinian supporters that joined us in the bar yesterday 🇦🇷

And thank you to all our guests for your support!

🎉 We’ll be staying open on Sunday evening so you can watch the World Cup Final with us! Kick-off is at 8:00pm, so come along, grab an Italian coffee (or something a little stronger! 😉), enjoy some delicious pinsa, and soak up the atmosphere as Spain take on Argentina to become World Cup champions. We’d love to see you! ⚽☕🇮🇹

Commiserations to Debbie G, whose England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 gave us all hope before Argentina came back to take the win. Never mind… maybe the Lionesses will bring it home in the Women’s World Cup 2027! ❤️🤍 I’ll wash my Primarni England top and tuck it away safely until then 🤍❤️

As ever, after a hard-fought game, there were plenty of football experts making their way home from Mauri’s… not least Mauri himself! 😂 Given that Italy haven’t qualified for a World Cup for 12 years, it did make me chuckle when he started analysing England’s tactics with, “In Italy we…” 🇮🇹🤣

First, a coastal path update, as we know it’s one of the hottest topics around here!

Well… calling it a coastal path might be a little generous – it’s more of a coastal track across the pebble beach! 😄 But whatever you call it, it makes walking between Amarilla Golf, the harbour and Mauri’s at Golf del Sur so much easier.

And the best bit? The view from our terrace is even more stunning now that you don’t have to mentally Photoshop that fence out of the picture! 🌊☀️

With Debbie G’s England taking on Andrea’s Norway, the bragging rights are well and truly on the line. After Mauri’s Belgium were knocked out yesterday, Andrea now has the chance to go further than him in the sweepstake… we’re not sure Mauri is ready for another Italian chef stealing the spotlight! 😂🇮🇹👨‍🍳⚽

As for me… Mamma Mia! 😂 My sweepstake team Argentina are playing in the early hours, but being a Yorkshire lass, I’ll be cheering on England first… then staying up (or setting the alarm!) to cheer on Argentina! ❤️🤍💙🏴🇦🇷

🎶 A little story from last night… Mauri and I were lucky enough to be at Sting’s concert in Santa Cruz, where they screened the Spain v Belgium match live before the show. We have to admit… we were never so pleased to see Spain score a dramatic late winner—even though it meant Mauri was out of the sweepstake! 🤣🇧🇪

Why? Because it meant Sting could finally get on stage! 🎸⚽

It just goes to show… even musical superstars have to wait for the World Cup! 🌍🏆🎶

☀️ Thursday reminder at Mauri’s! And pebble beach path update 🚶☕🍳🍕

We watched the teams working on the pebble beach until 8:15pm last night, and they’ve certainly made progress! 👷‍♂️🌊 Check out the progress photo below.

The good news is that it’s now much easier to walk across the pebble beach, making it easier to stroll along the seafront. Even better, the fence in front of Mauri’s has gone… for now! 😄 Although, who knows what’s coming next? 🤔 We’ll keep you updated if the work continues.

In the meantime, don’t forget we’re open until 5:00 PM today, so make sure you pop in early!

Whether you’re craving a hearty English breakfast, our renowned pinsa, a delicious homemade lasagna, a light lunch, or just one of our authentic Italian coffees, we’ve got you covered.

A fantastic win for Argentina as they book their place in the Quarter-Finals! I have to admit, it looked like Lynda’s team would knock me out for much of the game 🥹
