Pido disculpas a todos nuestros huéspedes que tuvieron que transitar por el camino al pie de La Parata, que quedó en pésimas condiciones desde el jueves pasado. Confirmo que ya ha sido reparado. No me lo tomé a la ligera; contacté a la policía local, a una persona de contacto en el ayuntamiento, una señora maravillosa que me ha apoyado mucho a lo largo de los años, y al alcalde Francisco personalmente. Gracias por su continuo apoyo.

I apologise to all our guests that had to negotiate the road at the bottom of La Parata that was left in a terrible condition since last Thursday I can confirm it has now been fixed, I did not take it lightly, I contacted the local police, a contact I have at the town hall a wonderful lady that has been very supportive to me over the years and the mayor Francisco personally, thank you for your continued support.

Por favor, eche un vistazo a la carretera al pie de La Parata. Es una vergüenza; el ayuntamiento debería avergonzarse. A principios de este año, intentando contribuir al cuidado del medio ambiente, compré un Lexus híbrido. Lamentablemente, el sábado por la noche, después de un largo día de trabajo, la carretera dañó una de las ruedas y pinchó el neumático.
Parece que los obreros limpiaron la zona donde se habían colocado las tuberías/cables el jueves pasado para preparar el terreno para el asfalto. Desde entonces no se ha hecho nada. La carretera supone un grave peligro para los vehículos y, muy a mi pesar, dañó mi coche. También he contactado con la policía local.
Intento gestionar un restaurante/negocio decente. Todos mis empleados reciben un salario justo, dos días libres a la semana durante todo el año y un reconocimiento médico anual, como exige la ley en España. Nunca he pedido ayuda, y menos aún durante la pandemia, al ayuntamiento. Lo único que pido es que mantengan las carreteras en buen estado y seguras. Atendimos a más de 300 comensales el fin de semana y todos tuvieron que transitar por esa carretera peligrosa. Incluso un famoso futbolista inglés cenó con nosotros el sábado y el domingo al mediodía. En Semana Santa, Félix Bolaños y su comitiva, acompañados de cuatro guardaespaldas, eligieron cenar en nuestro restaurante. Normalmente no hago alarde de este tipo de clientes, ya que soy una persona reservada y respeto la privacidad de nuestros comensales.

I'm Richard Shepherd, the owner of La Parata restaurant, we have met before.
Please take a look at the road at the foot of La Parata. It's a disgrace, the town hall should be embarrassed, earlier this year trying to do my part for the environment I purchased a hybrid Lexus which sadly Saturday evening after a long day at work the road damaged one of my car's wheels and punctured the tire.
The road workers cleared the area where the pipes/cables had been laid last Thursday to prepare the ground for tarmac…it looked like. Nothing has happened since then, it has posed a serious danger to vehicles and very sadly damaged my car I have also contacted the local police and the town hall.
I am trying to run a decent restaurant / business all my staff get paid a sensible wage, two days off per week all year and annual medical assessment as is the law in Spain. I have never asked for any help and particularly during Covid asked or sought any assistance from the town hall, all I ask is you the keep the bloody roads in a decent and safe condition, we have served over 300 guests over the weekend all would have had to pass that dangerous road, we even had a famous English footballer and ex England coach dine with us both Saturday lunchtime and Sunday lunchtime, at Easter Felix Bolaños Garcia and his party which included one of Spain’s prominent news reporters with four security guards chose to dine at the restaurant normally I don’t shout about such guests as I am a private person and also respect the privacy of our guests.
