It's nice to see people still Liking La Bergerie since we left. I don't know what the future holds for this place that holds such fond memories for the thousands who passed through its doors. Facebook prompted us to post something here. If I hear what the new owners have planned, I'll post some news.

I would love to know what plans there are for La Bergerie. It's all a bit quiet over there. Maybe it is just residential. I thought it was going to be redeveloped as a Gite.

So many people are liking La Bergerie in the year since it closed. Could the new owners tell people Of their plans for the grand olde dame? A Gite, we heard. Good luck. Bonne chance.

I want to organise some sort of fun charity ride up and down the grande corniche. Possibly involving Velo Bleu bikes for hire on the Riviera. We can have the serious bikers riding up the hill and the lazy bikers rolling all the way to Nice down the grande Corniche. Very popular running, cycling and driving road.
I am trying to think how it can promote the area, and the restaurants of course.
Don't want it to be too competitive but could be like the London marathon which has a fun element.
The Paris-Nice bike race finishes right near us which is on very soon. Could be an ideal chance to promote a new event. Must contact Velo Bleu.
How about anyone who wants to get involved contact me on this page or the page for Auberge de la Croix du Pape ? Riders can grab a bike from a Velo Bleu bike rack in Nice. Or bring your own and gather at our Carpark after observing the finish of the Paris-Nice race.
We will provide a light soup lunch for just 5€ to get up your strength and roll down the hill in the late afternoon.
I can also bring your bikes up the hill in a van and trailer from a gathering point in the port, possibly the car park? how about a meeting at Ma Nolans bar for nice-based residents to discuss.
We love Villefranche too so we could meet at our favourite drinking hole ChezNet for our VF friends.
If not Nice, then why not a VF finish line? Or both.
We can ask people to get sponsorship through the justgiving charity fundraising website. I'm sure people can use that wherever you are to raise money for their favourite charity. A all
Entry fee can go to the fastest rider in different age categories and fun categories such as Best Fancy Dress, Best Hat, Best Niçoise dress. Novelty bike. Ideas very welcome. Local clubs of any kind are welcome to get involved. Franglish Nice - Côte d'Azur might want to make a team. Niçoise association near the Acropolis?

The management and staff would like to thank Tour Director Victor Cartin for his support and patronage over many years, bringing hundreds of travellers with Trafalgar to La Bergerie-Eze. His TripAdvisor comments attached here are greatly appreciated because he is speaking for the great majority of those people, voting with his feet to bring them to The Grande Corniche. He is one of dozens of Tour Directors who come to La Bergerie and their continuing support means so much to us. Victor is moving on to new challenges and we wish him the best of luck with whatever he does and we will look forward to following his adventures through Facebook posts and photos. His advice and experience have been immensely valuable to us personally ... it's always heartening to have people on your side. Victor is not the only Tour Director to have moved on in the last year. We will miss them all and would still like to welcome them as friends if they are passing by our door. We would like to wish all our customers a healthy and prosperous 2014.

We received a letter this week which requires no introduction... just a profound thank you for going to the trouble of writing to us and kind comments... it means everything to us to make clients welcome.

Well done, La Bergerie!

My beloved wife and daughter recently visited your fine restaurant as while on vacation from the U.S. After having visited 14 cities in 5 countries, they have enthusiastically proclaimed their meal at La Bergerie the absolute highlight of their entire holiday.

I wanted to sincerely thank you for taking such good care of these ladies who are so precious to me.

My wife has never particularly enjoyed wine, but she was enthusiastic about your Kir. I would like to be able to surprise her on her return home with an authentic Kir, to provide one more reminder of her holiday's most cherished moment. Forgive my ignorance regarding Kir, but would you happen to have any available for sale? Or would you be so kind as to share how I may prepare this delicious cocktail for my wife?

You are so kind to help. Thank you very much.

Cheers!
David Barley
