Founded in 1976, FEDECOVERA brings together thousands of producer families across Guatemala and supports them through coffee production, agroforestry, organic agriculture, technical assistance and community development initiatives ☕

Our Central America General Manager, Thibault, recently visited FEDECOVERA to meet the teams and producers behind these coffees.

Fine Robusta from Uganda ☕

Today, we're highlighting one of Belco's partners: Kikenene Coffee Farmers Cooperative, a group we've been working with since 2024.

While most Robusta in Uganda is still produced for the commercial market, Kikenene is part of a small number of producers focusing on specialty-grade Robusta, with continuous improvements in harvesting, processing and quality control.

Together, we continue to support training and post-harvest practices to help the cooperative progress year after year.

📢 Last February, we launched the first Q Grading training at Belco.

A visual summary of the training led by Denis Mialocq () to prepare for and pass the Q-Grader certification.

6 days, 9 demanding tests, from green coffee evaluation to cupping and descriptive analysis. Participants worked through the core protocols of coffee quality, developing sensory precision and calibration.

A hands-on immersion into the standards and shared language of specialty coffee.
