A small reminder that our Summer à la carte weekend starts today and will run until the end of August! It’s easy from 9-11 it’s breakfast and from 11:30-15:30 it’s a more consistent Brunch menu items! We will be very happy to have you over, the weather is quote wonderful today and both a table on the terrasse or inside will be super pleasent!

Happy Birthday Ivan ♥️ we managed to keep our yearly appointment of Lobster and fries, this year it’s a lot more special cos they were cooked in our own home that we moved into three weeks ago, still dusty but soon ready, and you have done so much for this to be possible! I am posting this here because La Bête Noire would be a very different place without the help of Ivan in so many ways, here is to many more birthdays full of laughter and delicious lobster. Love you, altough i am talking to myself cos you don’t have instagram but I’ll show you the post before we go to sleep and I know you’ll appreciate ♥️🙆🏻‍♀️

Alas the exodus of our regulars from the city has started, it’s an undeniable fact that come July 15th a shift in the city’s population takes place and with the passing years I have learnt it respects that and adapt the menu for what the summer crowd is looking for, ie; lighter plates, EGGS 😅 everyone seems to want eggs with their plates maybe to prolong breakfast time as much as possible during their holiday. We are not reinventing the wheel with this menu but it’s simple, delicious and spot on in season we will start from this weekend and keep this format until the end of August ♥️ hope you visit us if you are in Paris, my staff and myself will be super happy to see you, have a chat together around a good plate and a glass of something.

An ode to Cold Beet Borcht this veggie plate is a collection of my favorite summer plates in one, there is the borcht élément with the cold beetroot and canellini bean purée, milky mozza with super ripe tomatoes dressed in salt and oil, marinated cucumber for crunch and pickled cassis berries are a perfect match with their favorite herb the humble mint all served with slithers of lavash bread to make sure none of it is left on the plate , its the plate of summer dreams and its on the menu for the coming week! I hope you enjoy it as much as we have ♥️

We are open with our normal hours today, the heat seems to have eased a bit so i hope you that if you go out for a brunch today and find yourself near Ash Misquez you come for a meal a drink or a cake we will be very happy to have you back!

In the coming four days the Heat is going to intensify in Paris ; in the spirit of saftey and compassion for my staff especially the ones working in the kitchen we will be terminating lunch service an hour earlier so that we use the last moments of the day to clean up slowly and get to go home before the critical hours of heat hit. On the plus side we are open from 8 to make best use of an extra half hour of morning fresh for your coffee and cake ♥️ stay safe everyone, and if you can stay indoors in the afternoon 🐣 i find watching true crime docs in the dark with my fan on whilst sipping a cold properly prepared beverage quite invigorating during city heatwaves 😅

On our Weekend menu a fragrant hand cut Beef tartare dressed in a home peaunut and sesame sauce a hint of chilli follows right after, paired with Daikon pickles, garlic roasted potatoes it is a plate that will make you happen even on the hottest of days! Come try it in the coming days we will be happy to serve you in the best way we can. Ferme de Clavisy thankyou to our stagiaire 𝓘𝓻𝓲𝓷𝓪 who dilently cut tiny cubes of beef, just the perfect size!

We have extremely hot days ahead of us in Paris and for this I prepared a menu that will freshen you up and leave you feeling light, the return of our Caponata ( please note it’s my moms’ recipe ☺️ served chilled straight out of the fridge just like my childhood summer meals, added on top a milky burrata and lots of fresh basil perfect served with our home baked focaccia! It will be our weeklong veggie plate, tomorrow I will try to post our meat option a beautiful Satay Tartare with great farm raised beef ♥️ I will try to take a pic of it cos it’s gonna be good 😊 thankyou Iago Pinto for lending me beautifully tattooed arms to make my picture a bit more with the times.

Yes we know everyone can make breakfast at home, we all on most days of the week…. But sometimes you just want someone else to prepare it for you, someone who will go the extra mile and fix you a bowl of granola of dreams, delicious full fat yogurt topped with a home made honey granola, home made fruit compote and an erray of seasonal fruits chopped on top, it is a small luxury that we are happy to serve La Bête Noire for anyone hungry for one! Also our granola bowl is an evergreen presence on our Brunch formule all weekend as one of the dessert options ♥️ thanks Nolwen Victoria for modeling
