It's the third week for the series 'Bake by Book' and covering the amazing book 'Paris Picnic Club' by Shaheen Peerbhai ( ) and Jennie Levitt ( ) this week. What you see here is a Chocolate and Passionfruit tart. The recipe in the book comprises of a sweet pastry dough and a passionfruit ganache. I've given it a little twist by using the chocolate pastry dough to kind of intensify the chocolate flavour. Loved how the ganache uses a combination of different chocolates to balance the sourness of the fruit. Truly loved this one. Check out the video on my IGTV to see the inside of the book. Because was too far for me to get to over the weekend, I made my own batch of pistachio and cherry financiers from ❤️ These turned out so well! We ate them along side some carrot and cucumber sticks with green tahini dip and ‘s strawberry mimosas 🥰

Flashback to our photo shoots for the cover, two years ago! Shaheen prepared all of these dishes from the book (and more!) and then we staged and photographed them over Skype, worlds and oceans apart, for Jennie to translate into watercolor. Ah, memories! 🍓🎨
