We are deeply saddened by the sudden passing of our dear friend Maggie Smith. Her buffets and famous pies were loved by our regulars, and she always brought warmth, laughter, and friendship wherever she went.

Maggie was never afraid to put us in our place, especially if she was handed a can of Strongbow without a glass, something she never let us forget!

She was also completely baffled by the Crocs trend, although after much persuasion, we eventually managed to get her to try a pair herself.

More than a regular, Maggie was part of our pub family, and she will be greatly missed by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Rest in peace, Maggie. You'll always be remembered with a smile 🫶
