Hey 👋🏼
I thought I’d introduce myself to my new followers.

I’m Lewis Twydle and I am personal chef/event caterer offering my culinary services for weddings, parties, formal events, dinner parties etc. I’ve always been inspired by good food and cooking having grown up watching cookery shows, my mother having her own catering business and eating at some of the best restaurants.

At 18, I trained at the Tante Marie cookery school in Woking. Since then I have been fortunate enough to have worked in some incredible restaurants where my love for cooking only grew.
These included:
✨ the Artichoke in Old Amersham
✨ the Royal Oak in Marlow
✨ Andrew Fairlie Gleneagles
I have also learnt a great deal from doing some ‘stages’ at the Woodspeen, Le Champignon Sauvage and the Wild Rabbit to name a few.
I have also had some amazing experiences during my career like touring with Paul McCartney (which improved my vegetation and vegan repertoire🌱) and being on Master Chef The Professionals in 2016.

Over the last 5 years, especially, I have travelled to many countries including south east Asia where I have added to my repertoire of Asian cuisine.
I love using all the skills and knowledge I’ve learned over the years to create rich flavourful dishes with a balance of acidity, texture, sweetness and saltiness.

A few new canapés on my menus this summer - one guest was coeliac so they were both gluten free.

These were chosen by a couple I cooked for this week. A small belated birthday dinner for two in Croxley Green.

Potato rosti, smoked salmon, crème fraiche, chives
Pea and mint arancini, whipped goats cheese

Throwback to last Saturday where I catered for a 70th birthday party in Lee Common, Buckinghamshire.

Drinks and canapés followed by sharing style food on tables plus a dessert station for 85 guests.

A few of the highlight dishes were:
Curry leaf popcorn chicken, siracha mayonnaise
Rib eye steak, nam jim jaew
Japanese BBQ marinated Iberico pork
XO salmon
Stuffed aubergine, coconut and curry dahl
Kaiaifi cheesecake, almonds, honey

Throwback a few weeks ago to Badminton Horse Trials where I got invited by Freemans Event Partners and CARGO Global Eats to show case some of my street food dishes in front of some VIP guests.

Korean fried chicken and my award winning short rib of beef, mushroom and truffle spring rolls were demoed and available to try.
