Assorted sandwiches and rolls freshly made to order, homemade cakes, fresh warm scones with clotted cream all served on beautiful vintage china. Relax with friends over a cream tea or bring mum for a full afternoon tea as a treat, even adding a glass of Prosecco for that special occasion. Little ones will love a teddy bears picnic basket and how about a princess birthday tea party decorating your own cupcakes with sparkles and glitter.

We are very humbled by all the really lovely comments and we couldn’t leave without acknowledging the heartfelt messages of best wishes and good luck.
When we opened our teashop, we thought we would be just baking cakes, serving tea, shut the door, go home and forget about it all until tomorrow. How wrong could we be!
You naughty customers have wriggled your way into our affections, you have become good friends and almost feel like family, we have laughed with you, cried with you, visited some in hospital, been to birthday parties, funerals, visited your homes, seen your babies start school and sadly have seen some depart this world, but we wouldn’t change a thing 💕
You have welcomed us into this village and into your lives and have helped to make Tea in the Square a place of love, chatter, laughs, friendship and banter.
It has been a safe haven for those alone, a welcome place for newcomers to the village, and a happy place to meet friends and family. We will take with us so many memories of our time in Angmering and of each and every one of you.
We just opened a tea shop….. you all made it a success!! 💕

We have been clearing out the shop today, it’s looking very sad, empty and bare now.
Thank you to everyone who came in on Saturday to say goodbye and thank you so much for all the beautiful cards, gifts and flowers, we really didn’t expect such an outpouring of love 💕 it was so emotional, we spent the whole day in tears 😭
We have had the best 6 years ever and we have loved every minute of running the best tea/coffee shop in Sussex!

To all our customers, you really are wonderful, the laughter and the banter, the friendship, support and loyalty you have shown us has made it such a lovely place to be in, it really didn’t feel like coming into work everyday, it was more like our social life.
We are excited to move on to new adventures and with lots of changes coming up in the village, it is totally the right time for us to move on, We will take away such fond memories of our time in Angmering and we hope to see you all again one day soon.

CLOSING SOON

As most of our regular customers now know, we are closing the teashop at the end of this week.
We are opening on Saturday 9th October at 10am for the very last time and will have an open house for everyone to come and have a last cup of tea with us to say goodbye before we close. Come and join us for tea and nibbles 😊
We have a few personal items of china, teapots etc plus bric a brac that has in the past been on display in the shop that some of you have asked to buy so you will have an opportunity to purchase these on the day. It would be lovely to see you all, not only to say goodbye but to thank you for making the past 6 years such an amazing experience.
We haven’t made a lot of money but we have made something much more important, we have made lots of new friends! 💕
Please come and see us, we will be open from 10 - 3 on Saturday 9th October, we can’t wait to see you!

As most of our customers already know, we have sold the teashop and we will be closing our doors in a couple of weeks time ( date to be confirmed soon).
We have absolutely loved our time in Angmering, our customers have been amazing, loyal and supportive throughout the 6 years that we have been in the village and we are sad to say goodbye 😞 but we are excited to move on with other plans and projects that we both have for the future.
We are still baking everyday so please pop in to say goodbye before we go.

*We are aware that there are still a few gift vouchers that were issued last Christmas that need to be used so please book in to redeem them before we close 😊
