​We are officially staging a takeover at the cellar at 24 once again. For everyone who spent the last month messaging us asking when we’re coming back, here we are!! 🙌🏽

Sunday 19th April
We’ll be there from 12pm sharp until 8pm.

That is a massive eight-hour window to drag yourselves off the sofa and get some proper food in your face.

The menu is attached and it’s a heavy hitter. We’ve got the Seoul Train for the buttermilk chicken addicts, the Silence of the Hams for the pork lovers, and the Cauli Me Maybe for the "I'm trying to be healthy" crowd (who will inevitably end up stealing a smash burger off their mate's plate anyway). We’ve even got Apple Pie Nachos for dessert, for those that were asking for a dessert last time! So you’ve got zero excuses to leave early.

​We know you've been thinking about them all week. You can either keep staring at the screen and hoping they'll manifest in front of you, or you can actually do something about it. Once the kitchen closes tonight, the window of opportunity shuts, and you're back to dreaming about what could have been.

If you tried to book a table recently for our Ox & Anchor take over and the system told you we were fully booked, it was lying to you. We’ve had a few technical tantrums, but the gremlins have been evicted and everything is working again.

The Ox & Anchor takeover is happening this weekend and we’re already prepped for a busy one. If you’ve been craving those beautiful dirty burgers and banging loaded fries, now is the time to get your fix.

When we’re serving:
Friday 9th: 5pm - 8pm
Saturday 10th: 12-3 / 5-8
Sunday 11th: 12-3 / 5-8

Quick heads up: We can’t do takeaways (sorry!), so you’ll have to come grab a seat with us. Tables go pretty fast, so definitely get booked in if you're coming down!

Happy New Year everyone!

A massive thank you to everyone who joined us for the Hogmanay dinner last night. We had a brilliant time hosting you and we really hope you enjoyed the food and the company as much as we did.

Looking back on 2025, we are feeling pretty lucky. To our regulars and the new faces who popped in throughout the year: thank you for keeping us busy and being such a great crowd. And to our incredible staff, who worked their socks off in 2025, go and enjoy your well-deserved break. Try not to miss us too much!

We aren't staying quiet for long, though. The Ox and Anchor pop-up is taking over the kitchen on the 9th, 10th, and 11th of this month. If you haven't booked yet, this is your sign to get on it. You know the drill: big dirty burgers, banging loaded tatties, and the inevitable food coma that follows. Don't say we didn't warn you when we sell out.

Hello all you beautiful people! 🥰

It’s been a long, hungry few months since September, don't you think? We’ve missed your faces Just as much as you’ve missed those burgers. 🍔❤️

If you’ve been staring at old photos of our burgers and loaded fries and feeling a bit empty inside, we’ve got some news to fix that.

We’re dusting off the grills and taking over The Cellar at 24 for one weekend only this January!
Think of it as a late Christmas present to yourselves. 😜

We are truly overwhelmed by all of your kind words, messages, and support. 💛 Each one has touched our hearts more than we can say, and in moments like these, we’re reminded just how lucky we are to have such a caring community around us.

While one chapter has come to a close, our journey is far from over. We are now pouring all of our love, strength, and passion into our other restaurant baby, The Cellar at 24. It’s a place that means the world to us, and we can’t wait to welcome you there with the same warmth, heart, and hospitality you’ve always given back to us.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for being part of this journey with us. Your encouragement, kindness, and support give us the courage to keep going and the excitement to create even more wonderful memories together.

Closure Announcement

It is with the heaviest of hearts that we share the horrible news that Ox and Anchor is now closed. Rising costs and the declining footfall have left us with no other choice, and the decision has completely broken our hearts.

From the very first day in our little trailer in Pittenweem, travelling across Scotland to events, we poured every ounce of love, energy, and soul into The Ox and Anchor. It has been so much more than a business to us – it has been our dream, our passion, and our home.

To our wonderful customers: thank you from the bottom of our hearts. You welcomed us, supported us, and gave us the chance to create memories we will treasure forever. And to our amazing team – you are incredible. You’ve stood by us through thick and thin, and we love you more than words can ever say.

Though this chapter is ending, the memories and love we’ve shared will stay with us forever.
