Hi everyone hope you’re all having a wonderful start to the weekend quick message to clear up some things as we are getting a lot of you are asking the same questions regarding card payments. We take card payments inside the shop for everyone who comes in but are NOT able to take payment over the phone for those calling in asking for delivery as our card machine only works if the card is present and we only have one card machine and it must stay on the premises at all times. If you would like a delivery and wish to pay by card this can be done through Just Eat or the website www.kielderfishbar.co.uk  unfortunately we know it is more expensive on these platforms because they are managed by third party and charge service charge and add commission on for themselves. We recommend that if you would like a delivery and are able to pay cash at the door to call us on 01670 812527 to place your order as you will only pay for the the food and delivery charge no service charge or bag charge or the extra commission to Just Eat or Order Yoyo who run our website.if you’re wanting to order for collection again, please ring us place your order and tell us what time you would like to collect it and you can pay by card in the shop instead of using Just Eat or our website as it will be cheaper as there are no extra charges for using our card machine in store.

We would like to say Thank you to all our customers who came out today or got a delivery and apologise to all those who couldn’t get through or had late orders and long wait times in the que and a massive 1000 apologies to the people who were unable to get through on the phone we really struggled tonight even with all staff in at times we just couldn’t answer the phone. it was a lovely thing to see all you people supporting us especially in these difficult times with everything that’s going on in this crazy world we will be open tomorrow Saturday normal hours and hope you all have an amazing Easter weekend.

Easter opening times

Good Friday: 11:30am-2:00pm 4:30pm-8:00pm
Saturday: 11:30am-2:00pm 4:30pm-8:00pm
Easter Sunday: CLOSED
Bank holiday Monday : CLOSED
Tuesday: open normal hours

On Good Friday we won’t be taking any collection orders over the phone or online. It’s one of our busiest days, and we can’t guarantee collection times. We also feel it’s only fair for those who have waited in the queue, rather than allowing others to skip ahead by ordering in advance.

Delivery service available from 4:30pm
From 4:30pm you will be able to order over the phone on 01670 812527 if you would like a delivery and want to pay cash at the door. If you would like a delivery but want to pay by card you can order on Just Eat or on our own website www.kielderfishbar.co.uk please bear in mind delivery times may be longer.

We wanted to give you a heads-up that our menu prices will increase from Tuesday 17th of March due to rising costs. We’re sorry for any inconvenience and truly appreciate your understanding—and your support means the world to us. While cod and haddock has seen the biggest increase we are now having to pay increased cost on all the items on our menu. To try and keep the traditional fish and chips going we have sourced cheaper alternatives to cod and Haddock and while they do not taste exactly the same, they are extremely tasty fish. On the picture below:
First we have Saithe also known as po***ck or coley very mild in taste like cod but with a much more meaty and slightly tougher texture and greyish brown colour (Panay’s new favourite)
£5.40 on it own
£9.00 with large chips
£8.60 with small Chips
Second we have Alaskan po***ck again very mild in taste with a whiter colour and soft texture but not as large of chunky as cod.(Staff favourite)
£3.80 on its own
£7.40 with large chips
£7.00 with small chips
Third and finally we have Theo’s favourite and what we believe is the best value for money is Hake a beautiful white Fish with a slight pinkish tinge that has a nice soft flaky texture and sweet mild taste that is unique but is lovely fried in our signature batter.
