We were touched to receive another unexpected gesture of kindness today.

After receiving a lovely painted pebble from the young people at Station Youth Club yesterday, today we were presented with flowers and a card from Bacup Borough FC.They are beautiful, thank you.

What these gifts really represent is something much bigger than 1832 Barista. They reflect the community spirit that exists here in Bacup, the local people, groups, clubs and businesses supporting each other, celebrating successes and recognising the value of working together.

These small acts of kindness remind us just how important community really is and we are proud to play a small part in such a supportive town.

We're keeping busy whilst we're closed... 🐝🍯
The shop reopens next Tuesday (2nd June) and we've spent part of our week away harvesting and jarring the honey from our own hives.
After extracting, straining through muslin and hand-packing, we've managed to produce just 40 jars of 1832 Barista Raw Honey 🍯
✨ Raw & unpasteurised
✨ From our own hives
✨ Produced in our garden on New Line, Bacup
✨ Limited availability - £10 per jar

And it seems our hens didn't get the memo about taking a holiday either... 🥚😅
We've a glut of fresh eggs, with around 10 dozen available at just £2 per half dozen.
We're incredibly proud to offer local produce alongside our freshly roasted coffee, and we're looking forward to welcoming everyone back next week.

The support and demand for local honey is honestly amazing 🐝❤️

Unfortunately, with our own hives currently out of production, we’ve struggled to keep up with customer demand. However, we have placed another order with Balshaws for Bacup Honey until we’re able to fully restore our own supply.

BUT, the GOOD NEWS (if you're quick) is, I have brought in my reserves and we are down to the last 2 jars of 1832 Barista raw honey.
