It is with heavy hearts that we confirm The Rolle Quay Inn has ceased all trading permanently, with effect from Saturday 4th July 2026. This will be our final post on this page, and we wanted to share our position openly, honestly and with respect for everyone who has been part of this chapter.
This was an incredibly difficult decision, reached after many months of strain and careful consideration. The core factor have left us with no viable alternative:
Deeply private, personal family circumstances that now require our full, undivided time, care and attention. We simply no longer have the capacity, energy or resources to give this pub, its team and its customers the level of commitment we brought when we first took over — and to continue when we cannot deliver that would be unfair to everyone involved.
This pub holds a very close, personal connection to our whole family, and walking away is not something we ever wanted or expected to do. For those who know the full context, you will understand exactly what we mean — if you know, you know. That said, we accept that this is sometimes the reality of business and of life, and we are now choosing to focus our energy where it matters most: on looking after ourselves, and sticking together as a family through this period of uncertainty.
To our true, loyal supporters and the local regulars who stood by us, welcomed us, celebrated with us and became familiar faces, thank you, from the bottom of our hearts. You made the hard days bearable and the good days unforgettable, and we will always be grateful for the community you helped us build.
We would also like to place on record our sincere best wishes to the next people who take on this pub, whenever that may be. We hope they are given the support and fair footing to make a real success of it, and that it remains a much-loved part of the local community for years to come.
We ask only for kindness and respect for our privacy as we step away and navigate what comes next for our family. We will see many of you around the local area in due course, and we wish you all nothing but the best.
