🫶🌞Important Heartfelt Notice 🌞🫶
Thank you so much to everyone for your patience with our opening hours during this spell of extreme hot weather.
In the 10/11 years I’ve owned Papillon, I can honestly say I’ve never experienced heat like it. Even with air conditioning in the shop, it just wasn’t enough!
As a business owner, I sometimes feel like I have three personalities…
The first is the person who genuinely cares about the wellbeing of every single member of staff. I want to say a huge thank you to my amazing team. They worked harder than I’ve ever seen them work. They turned up, kept smiling, and continued to make me incredibly proud.
I spent yesterday and today in the kitchen myself, and bloody hell… it was flipping hot! But the girls working alongside me just kept going. I also want to take my hat off to the rest of the kitchen team who worked through the week, especially my little baker, who came in at 5am to make sure all your favourite treats were ready for you.
The second is the business owner who has bills to pay! It’s the end of the month, with wages and so many other costs to cover, so closing early wasn’t a decision I took lightly. But at the end of the day, the safety and wellbeing of my staff had to come first.
And then there’s the third personality… the overheated menopausal woman who was doing her very best to keep it together whilst overheating herself! 🥵🤣 I know many of you ladies will understand exactly what I mean!
So, from the bottom of my heart, thank you to my gorgeous Papillons for everything you do, and thank you to our wonderful customers for your understanding, support and loyalty.
You’re both the reason we keep going.
