Hey former 227 customers, just wanted to share some super tasty news. The Belmont bowling club has a new catering team and Paul Rankin and his brother Mo are in charge. I was there on Sunday for lunch and let me tell you it was a taste sensation 🤪 My friend and I had mac&cheese croquettes and duck spring rolls to start, followed by the best burger I've had in years( as good as mine, just different) my mate had monkfish on a ragu of chickpeas and smokey sausage, delicious. Finished off with a baked mango cheesecake and coconut cream. The menu changes often, starters from £5.50, mains from £13. Their open Thurs-Sat 12:30- 8pm Sunday 1-6pm. You don't need to be a member, you get your drinks yourself from the bar( very reasonable too) The food is done simply and well, with a few blasts from the past thrown in. No need to book, lots of parking, I give it a 10 out of 10 😘

It's with a heavy heart that I have to announce the closure of 227. The cost of living crisis after covid has been insane and unsustainable for a small business like mine. As some of you are aware Wesley, my landlord, passed away this summer and his son wants to sell his assets as he lives abroad. Wesley was a fair and decent man. I was lucky enough to sign my lease 7 years ago and create my dream of owning my own business. I have been blessed with the best customers a gal could ask for and have made some awesome friendships along the way. I am thankful for all of you ❤ I will hold you in my heart, continue my cooking adventures and keep the tunes rocking 🎶🎸🎶 Big love K 😘❤😘
