Y tatws Accord hyn yw’r rhai cyntaf i gael eu codi o gnwd eleni, fel arfer rhwng canol a diwedd mis Gorffennaf.

That time of year when we get the arrival on the new season potatoes.

These Accord are the first out of the ground from this year’s crop, typically mid to the end of July.

You’ll notice they are different from the end of season variety, with a creamier sweeter taste due to the lower dry matter content and age of the potato

I love having these in a bap with loads of butter, salt and vinegar 😋

New product alert. ‼️

A recent research trip took me all the way to Scotland to visit our friends at anstrutherfishbar

After extensive tasting, scientific analysis, and absolutely no recipe stealing whatsoever, I’ve returned to Benllech with inspiration for our very own Seagull Poo Cheesecake! 🐦 🧁 💩

Now, we’ve always had a great relationship with the team at Anstruther Fish Bar, but when we heard they had a Seagull Poo Ice Cream, we thought we’d save them the embarrassment and show them how it’s really done… 😜

So it’s time for the ultimate seaside showdown:

What an absolute pleasure it was to welcome Stephen behind the fryer today and let him cook his own fish and chips! 🐟🍟

I think I learnt a thing or two from him, and hopefully he picked up a few tips from me as well.

A huge thank you for being such a good sport and throwing yourself into the experience. We hope you enjoyed seeing what goes on behind the scenes and discovering that fish and chips don’t just magically appear wrapped up and ready to go! 😄
