🏰 Ford Fact Friday #2

Did you know?… Lady Louisa Anne Beresford (Marchioness of Waterford) inherited the estate in 1859 and turned a collection of “hovels” into the beautiful model village we see today. She cared so deeply for her tenants she even built them a brand-new school in 1860.

That school? It’s now the stunning – still used for village events and open daily!

Why not pop into our cafe, grab a map, sit back and see why Ford feels like stepping back in time.

📜 Ford Fact Friday #1

Did you know Ford village was once a battlefield hotspot? In 1513 the Scottish army captured Ford Castle just before the Battle of Flodden – the last time a British monarch (James IV) died in battle. Today the peaceful village sits right on the estate where history was made ⚔️

These lads rolled back in for round two of our bacon, sausage & egg breakfast sandwiches yesterday 😂
They assured us that these sandwiches were fully appropriate for these ‘’athletes”… 😉 Proper fuel for the road! 🥪🚴‍♂️💪

🌞 Good morning, Ford!
Nothing beats kicking off the day with one of our proper sausage, bacon & egg breakfast rolls! 😍 Juicy sausages, crispy bacon, a perfectly fried egg… all tucked into soft, fresh bread baked this morning by our friends
It’s the ultimate Northumberland breakfast sandwich – warm, hearty, and made right here in the village.
Pop in this morning to the coffee shop and grab one (or two 👀) Pair it with a proper coffee and you’re set for the day.
