It’s not secret that over the past 6-8 weeks opening the cafe really took it out of me. I was figuring out how to balance both cake and cafe; which meant I didn’t have the energy for social media and as a result our views dropped from 1M per month to around 500k.

I’m not concerned about our number of followers - but I AM concerned about our lack of views. Of only half the amount of people are seeing me; that’s not good is it!?

So I have committed to posting more regularly again, and it has paid off. Let’s revisit in 2 weeks time 👍🏻 thanks for coming to my talk x x

Thankyou everyone so much for your messages and good wishes these past days.
Last week has been the hardest ever; which sounds silly because I was neither the patient nor the staff members dealing with a colleague being away - but when you run your own business, or in my case 2 businesses, there really isn’t a Plan B for an emergency week off; you just get in with it the best you can and I think we did just that 🥰

He’s back in the land of the living - minus one perforated gallbladder 😅

People slate the NHS but they took great care of my boy and dealt with the emergency quickly and urgently. They are so overwhelmed with donuts who go to the a&e with complaints that don’t even need medical intervention - honestly I’ve heard it all in the past 3 days sitting in there 🤣 I don’t know how the staff do it I would most certainly be discharging people left right and centre!

I’m amazed at how resilient the human body is; and after seeing him fading before my eyes earlier in the week to him up and walking and eating again an hour after what turned out to be a bit of a long operation does feel a bit miraculous. I wouldn’t be surprised to have him home before the weekend is up too; judging by the number of people being treated in beds in corridors🫠

I didn’t want to be that person who looks like an attention seeker and checks in at the hospital 🤣🤣 but the muffin man isn’t well and hospitalised for the foreseeable. We have no idea how long he will be here but I am by his side all day every day until he gets better; and snatching a few hours a day to finish the cake orders (I haven’t cancelled a cake order EVER) when I can!
The girls are AMAZING and have snapped into action sorting out everything so I don’t have anything to worry about except getting my husband back on his feet ❤️
So if we take a bit longer to get back to you etc it’s because we are a bit stretched at the moment.

We are definitely at Aylesford this weekend, definitely at Bearsted carnival on Saturday and definitely at Limewood on Saturday - and still hoping to make the Broadway too - and the shop is open as normal ❤️❤️
