Seoul has many places that are popular with young people, offering plenty of things to see and eat.

One of these places is *Hongdae*. If you exit *Hongik University Station* on Seoul Subway Line 2 through **Exits 8 or 9**, you will find yourself in this area.

There are many attractions here, including BBQ restaurants, dermatology clinics, coffee shops, and various other places to explore.

Located in the western part of Seoul, Hongdae becomes especially lively in the evening, with many young people gathering and street performances taking place.

It is the end of February 2026, around **8:40 PM**, and young performers are entertaining the crowds.

Korea is generally known for its good public safety, and many areas are clean and well maintained.

For those visiting Korea, Hongdae is a place that is worth considering as part of your trip.

JAPCHAE 잡채

Today, we would like to introduce Japchae (stir-fried glass noodles), one of the most popular dishes at our restaurant.

Many of our customers say that Japchae has a unique and distinctive flavor.

We offer two varieties: Vegetable Japchae and Beef Japchae.

Japchae is a traditional Korean dish that is said to have been enjoyed by kings during the Joseon Dynasty (1392–1910). It remains one of the most beloved foods among Koreans today.

Japchae is also especially popular among Japanese visitors and is one of their favorite Korean dishes.

“Interior Photos & Notice

These are photos of the inside of MR SLIM KOREAN FOOD. All of the walls are made of glass.

As many customers are still asking about this, we would like to post this notice once again here. We would appreciate it if you could refer to it.”

* There are no toilets in the store.
* The kitchen is made open so that anyone can see it.
* The MR SLIM concept is that you pay first and take your food away or sit down like KFC.
* Food containers are provided in Disposable Paper Bowls (fast food).
* After eating, please dispose of your paper bowl crafts in the entrance trash bin.
* If you take leftovers home, we will provide a lid and packaging.
* We serve Korean-style mixed brown rice.

* Preparing dishes like JEON (Korean-style thin pancake) and CHICKEN KATSU curry takes approximately 5–10 minutes.
* BULDAK means ‘very spicy chicken’. We do not recommend this to those who do not like spicy food.

* We do not provide soy sauce with Kimbap. Koreans do not use soy sauce when eating Kimbap as it is already seasoned. Adding soy sauce would make it too salty.
* The Korean way to eat a corn dog is by topping it with sugar, ketchup, and mustard.

* We do not accept reservations for the time being, so you can come and eat after ordering.
However, if you are a group of 8 or more guests, or if you plan to order more than 10 servings, we would appreciate it if you could call in advance.”

Chocolate and flowers

Chocolate and flowers brought by our customer
We sincerely thank the customer who kindly gave us chocolate and flowers.

From time to time, some of our customers also bring us chocolate, Korean products, various gifts, or flowers.

We would also like to express our heartfelt gratitude to those who come from far away and from other cities to enjoy our food.

To repay such kindness, we will always strive to prepare clean and honest food.

HOW TO GET TO MR SLIM BY CAR

You can drive right up next to MR SLIM.
However, it’s quite tricky, but possible.

Photo 1 – Tram: You must drive along the tram line. If you feel unsure, you can wait and follow another vehicle.
Photo 2 – Come along Navigation Street toward New Street Station. At the corner, you’ll see a shop called CANDY LIQUOR. Turn left here.
Photo 3 – This is a video showing the route from CANDY LIQUOR to the tram rail. Turn right here.

Then continue straight along the tram rail.

Photo 5 – Turn right at Superdrug. (If you just miss this, just come back.)

Notes:
* Parking in this area is not easy.
* We often get inquiries from people who want to come by car for takeaway.
* Some people manage to find parking nearby and then come for takeaway.
* Many families come for a simple meal but struggle with parking.
* We originally uploaded a video on Instagram on 25 December, 2023, explaining how to get to MR SLIM by car, but since many people are still unaware, we are sharing the video again.
