Ever wondered why we’re called Centenary Lounge? 🚂

Two anniversaries, not one. Our first café opened at Birmingham Moor Street in 2009, exactly 100 years after the station opened in 1909.

And the railway that inspires us, the Great Western Railway, turned 100 in 1935, the moment it redesigned everything in the Art Deco style we lovingly recreate.

Two centenaries, one name. Find us at Moor Street, where it all began ☕️

The story behind Centenary Lounge is beautifully tied to Birmingham’s railway heritage. The first Centenary Lounge café opened in 2009 at Birmingham Moor Street Station, marking the centenary (100-year anniversary) of the station’s opening by the Great Western Railway.

That’s how we earned our name — “Centenary Lounge” — a celebration of history, travel, and timeless railway charm. 🚆💛
