Are we all having a good week? The cafe saw a busy weekend which is fantastic news! Hopefully this is the start of an upswing, but time will tell.

As you all saw last week, the cafe is up for sale HOWEVER, this is something I want to avoid at all costs. I love this place so much and will fight to the bitter end to keep it open and under my management. With that said, I've launched the Crowdfund to end all Crowdfunds! There's some amazing donation tiers, and if you can think of anything else to add please do let me know and I'll get them added!

I know I ask a lot from you all, and you always come through for me, because you're incredible. Each and every one of you can support this, simply by liking, commenting and sharing this post far and wide. That's the best way to support a small business (aside from coming in and having one of our delicious menu items ;) )

So thank you all, once again, from the bottom of my heart.

Sad to see it go, but it's necessary for the next stages of Sliced n Diced.

I'm also going to be posting a crowd fund page soon. This is to help update the decor in the cafe, as well as hopefully fully renovate and cover ongoing business costs. I am determined to keep the cafe!

Hey everyone! Hope you're all enjoying the lovely weather and staying hydrated.

Hopping on to give you all an update on the café. I'm a big fan of being transparent with you all when I can, and being completely honest, things have slowed down recently. I'm currently looking for part time work (if anyone knows of anything, let me know!) in order to help cover the monthly outgoings and continue running the café.

I've also made the tough decision to put the café on the market in hopes that someone can come in and continue growing the brand and make it even better. Don't worry, I'm not planning on closing the café at all, and I don't foresee it selling any time soon, but it's at the point where it needs some investment to help it stand out otherwise it's not sustainable.

It's not a decision I've taken lightly as I absolutely love this place, but I'd be lying if I didn't say that running it by myself does take its toll.

I'm hopeful that things will pick up again, but I'm also very aware that hospitality is sadly struggling across the board at the moment, and every day living costs are rising constantly!

Bookings are open as usual, like I say I'm not closing at all and I'll do everything in my power to keep the café, but I also need to explore other options.

After 2.5 years at the café, had my first theft! 😂 A local "character" and his friend came in, to peruse the games, particularly taking an interest in the Warhammer figures and comics on the shelves. He then decides he really needs the 4 Batmobile figures on display, gathers them up and walks out while his friend stays and says "oh, don't do that, I don't like that". That makes 2 of us! 😂 His friend was then flabbergasted when he was asked to leave, imagine??

Clearly he's reliving some childhood nostalgia and is going to play Batman with his new toys, so I hope it brings him some joy and heals his inner child.

🚨 Pricing update 🚨

Hey all, there's a slight change to pricing for gaming sessions in effect from Monday 11th May.

Pre-booked tables will continue to be £2.20 per person, per hour.

Walk-ins will be £3 per person, per hour

Clocktower sessions - if you pre-book for a session they will continue to be £6. For walk-ins on the day the sessions will be £7.50 (still a huge saving on regular game time!)

Unfortunately as things continue to rise, it's becoming increasingly more difficult to keep the café going on the current pricing, so these are necessary changes. I hope you all understand.
