Meet our newest summer arrival ☀️🍃

Our Honey & Thyme Glazed Goat’s Cheese Salad is a perfect balance of sweet and savoury. Finished with honey and fresh thyme, then served on a vibrant salad of chicory, beetroot, gem lettuce, cucumber, radish, toasted pine nuts, peashoots and our rich sun-dried tomato pesto.

Fresh, colourful and made with care by our chefs.🔪🌿

Say hello to Arlene, our talented Sous Chef, originally from the Philippines. She joined us here at The Physician back in November 2022. 🇵🇭👩‍🍳

She holds a Level 3 Professional Cookery qualification gained in Derby — bringing great skill and knowledge to every dish she helps create.

When she’s not busy in the kitchen, you’ll find her:
•Eating out and trying all kinds of new flavours
•Heading off on little trips and adventures
•Keeping active with reformer pilates

We’re so glad to have her as part of the team! 🍽️👩‍🍳

Sunday roasts are all about the little extras, and our homemade apple sauce is one of them.

Made fresh in our kitchen and served alongside our roast pork and mixed roast dinners, it’s another example of the care and pride our chefs put into every plate.

Before the doors open and the first guests arrive, our kitchen is already in full swing. From prepping fresh ingredients to putting the finishing touches on every dish, there’s a lot that happens before service begins.

Our chefs take real pride in what we do. Every plate that leaves the pass reflects the care, passion, and hard work that goes into creating the best experience for our guests.

Of course, it’s not all serious! We believe the best kitchens are built on teamwork, plenty of laughter, and looking out for one another. We’re more than just colleagues—we’re one big happy family, and we genuinely love what we do.

One dish we’re especially proud of is our Vietnamese Salad, created by our very own Philippine Sous Chef, Arlene, working alongside our Head Chef. Fresh, vibrant and packed with flavour, it’s the perfect taste of summer.
