🐶 Dog Show Update – Virtual Judging Only 🐶

The health, safety and wellbeing of our four-legged community members is our absolute priority.

With temperatures forecast to exceed 30°C this weekend, we’ve made the difficult decision to move our Dog Show to virtual judging only. While we’re disappointed not to welcome your dogs in person, we know this is the safest decision for everyone.

🎥 To enter, please send us a video of your dog by 5:00pm on Friday 10th July via Facebook or Instagram, or visit the shop where our Shop Manager can help you submit your entry.

Your video should include:
🐾 A little walk around
🐾 Sit & Stay
🐾 A trick (optional)
🐾 A little message telling us about your dog

We’ll share a highlight reel of all our wonderful entries online just before 11:30am on Saturday, before our judges go LIVE at 11:30am to announce the winners!

🏆 All categories will still be judged, with rosettes and prizes awarded as planned:

• Blunsdon’s Most Handsome Boy
• Blunsdon’s Waggiest Tail

Pappa al Pomodoro, a classic Italian Cucina Povera (“poor kitchen”) recipe that proves you don’t need expensive ingredients to create incredible flavour.

Made with leftover sourdough baguette from Lynwood and fresh ingredients from Blunsdon Community Shop, this comforting dish is all about reducing food waste, supporting local, and making the most of what you already have.

It’s a reminder that some of the world’s best recipes were born from resourcefulness—and they’re just as delicious today.

🐶 Important Dog Show Update – Please Read 🐶

The welfare of our four-legged friends is our top priority. ❤️

With temperatures set to soar this weekend, we completely understand and support owners who may wish to keep their pooches at home where they can stay safe and cool.

🐾 Virtual entries are now available!

Simply send us a short video of your dog by 5:00pm on Friday 10th July. You can submit your video:

🏡 Pop into Blunsdon Community Shop, where our Shop Manager will be happy to help you send it.

If you do choose to bring your dog along on the day, we’ve moved the judging to 11:30am to help ensure it’s completed before the hottest part of the day. Please remember to bring plenty of water, keep your dog in the shade wherever possible, and only attend if they’re comfortable doing so.

All entries—whether submitted virtually or in person—will be judged, and rosettes and prizes will be awarded as normal.
