🏆 Congratulations, Matt!

At The Riverside, we believe that great hospitality starts with a great team.

Every smile, every warm welcome, every meal served and every room prepared is the result of people supporting one another and working together. We’re incredibly proud of the team we’ve built – not just because of what they do for our guests, but because of how they look after each other.

Last month, we introduced our Team choice award. It started as a tongue in cheek joke, but the responses to it were meaningful and true not to celebrate it. Our team voted for the colleague who has made a real difference. It’s not chosen by management – it’s chosen by the people who work alongside them every day.

We’re delighted to congratulate Matt, who has been voted by his colleagues as our very first Team choice award winner. 🎉

🧹🌿 Join our housekeeping team this summer 🌿🧹

We’re looking for someone to join our friendly housekeeping team over the summer.

✨ Housekeeping Cover Position
📅 2 days a week (Monday to Friday)
🕤 9:30am – 2:00pm

The role involves preparing our guest accommodation to a high standard, helping ensure every guest receives a warm Riverside welcome from the moment they arrive.

We’re looking for someone who:
🛏️ Takes pride in their work
😊 Has a positive, reliable attitude
🤝 Enjoys working as part of a friendly team

Previous housekeeping experience is helpful but not essential, as full training will be provided. If this sounds like something you’d enjoy, we’d love to hear from you.

💍🥂 A little notice from us… 🥂💍

If you’ve popped by yesterday and found us closed, we’re sorry for any inconvenience.

Yesterday was a very special day for one of our own, as Craig and Rita tied the knot this evening at Wookey Hole Caves.

Hospitality is all about helping people celebrate life’s special moments, and today it was our turn to celebrate one of our own.

From everyone at The Riverside, we’d like to wish Craig and Rita a lifetime of love, happiness and wonderful adventures together.

🌱♻️ Free compost for the local community ♻️🌱

Did you know we regularly produce compost here at The Riverside?

Rather than let it go to waste, we’d love to see it put to good use in local gardens, allotments and planters.

If you’re local and would like a free compost box, you’re very welcome to pop in and collect one. We produce them regularly, so if you’re interested, just let us know and we’ll keep you in mind for future batches.

It’s a small way of giving something back while making the most of what we produce.
