🎓 The caps are flying, the photos are being taken… and the celebrations are about to begin 🥂

The first event of Graduation season 2026 is nearly here, and we’re getting ready to welcome all the proud parents and excited graduates from AUB back to Urban Garden. You’ve supported them through the essays and the laundry runs, now you’ve earned the glass of wine (and probably still pick-up the bill)

Whether it’s a post-ceremony lunch, a few celebratory cocktails, or the whole family gathering together, we’ve got the food, drinks and space to make the day feel special

Because after years of deadlines, late nights and probably more coffee than anyone should consume… a proper celebration is definitely deserved.

And the biggest cheer goes to our team 👏

What. A. Week.

The sunshine arrived, the town centre was buzzing, and with the cheerleading competition nearby we had an incredible few days of very busy services, big energy and lots of happy guests.

But the biggest applause goes to the Urban Garden team.

The heat was tough. The pace was relentless. Yet they kept showing up, supporting each other, and delivering the warm (and very literal warmth) hospitality we’re so proud of. Just like a great cheerleading squad, it’s never about one person, it’s about everyone knowing their role, trusting each other, and lifting the team when it matters most.

And to every guest who joined us this week… thank you 🍍

You’re the ones cheering us on. Your visits, your kind words and your support are what keep the team going each week.

Now… a well-earned rest day or two for the team, a cold drink or three, a foot-spa, and maybe a slightly cooler week please Mother Nature.

🔥 Meet your summer pizza plans…🔥

We don’t want to cause any arguments… but we think wood-fired pizza tastes even better when it’s eaten outside with a cold drink in hand.

Our pizzeria is serving up proper wood-fired pizzas, with Neapolitan style bases with big puffy crusts, bubbling cheese, delicious toppings and that little bit of magic that only comes from a very hot oven 🍕

Perfect for lazy lunches, after-work drinks, family dinners or the we'll take one in a box to the beachers...

☀️ Meet the bowl that’s basically summer in a dish… ☀️

Our Buddha Bowl has quietly become one of the most-loved dishes on the Urban Garden menu, and with sunshine on the menu this week, we thought it deserved a little moment in the spotlight 🌱

Packed with aromatic quinoa, wild rice, crunchy red cabbage, carrot, avocado, roasted sweet potato, crispy chickpeas and edamame, finished with seeds, nuts and our tahini soy ginger vinaigrette.

Fresh. Colourful. Properly filling. And full of the good stuff.

Then choose your topping:

🍽️ The final Sunday Roast of the season is coming… 👀

This Sunday is your last chance to get stuck into our famous Urban Garden Sunday Roast before we give the roasties a little summer rest ☀️

Why? Because even our roast potatoes deserve a holiday 😂

With warmer days, lighter menus and sunnier terrace time ahead, years of history tells us you never buy a roast when the weather is nice. We've been clinging on for a few weeks waiting for Father's Day.

But don’t worry… the gravy train isn’t gone forever. 🚂 Our Sunday Roast will be back from September, ready to bring back the Yorkies, crispy potatoes and all the cosy Sunday feels.

So if you’ve been meaning to join us… this is your sign to book your table.

Hey you lovely lot, there’s a hideous video above because I had to commit to doing a video explaining something pretty serious at Urban Garden.

If you prefer reading text instead of listening to me ramble on then the brief version is the fact that we’ve been on a bit of a matcha journey and it turns out we’ve been serving some pretty s**t matcha (we won’t name and shame them) and we’re sorry.

However, we found some great new matcha from matcha.vista and it’s quite frankly beautiful and you can taste the difference. So if you haven’t been here for a matcha then please do come in and enjoy one with confidence knowing it’s great, if you have been in for a matcha recently and you thought “you know what it was okay, but it wasn’t as nice as it could be” then yeah you were right. And we’re sorry about that. A lot.
