Our refined dining restaurant delivers sumptuous, Modern British cuisine combined with European and Asian influences cooked and served with infectious passion.Examples of our exciting menu include classic dishes served with a ‘Porto twist’, including Saute King Scallops served with crushed peas, black pudding and bearnaise sauce - Locally sourced Lamb Chump that comes with indulge celeriac puree,

shallots, celery, pancetta, pistachio, dauphinoise, jus. Chocolate Ganache with addition of hazelnuts & ice cream. Our menu might change daily due to availability and demand.

🌊 Today the kitchen looked a little different. 🇮🇹☀️

Fresh seafood 🐙🦐, Sicilian specialities 🍋🫒, crystal-clear waters 💙 and a surprise dolphin sighting 🐬 in the middle of the Mediterranean.

Experiences like these are a reminder of why we love food so much 🍽️ - every region tells its story through flavour, tradition and the people who make it.

Bowness has been absolutely spoiled with weather since Friday. ☀️

A huge thank you to everyone who spent part of the Bank Holiday weekend with us at Porto, for the Sunday Roasts, wine, desserts and all the lovely atmosphere throughout the weekend. 🍷

Just a little reminder that we’re serving Sunday Roast today from 12pm-3pm.

Make the most of the sunshine while it lasts ✨

The forecast is hinting at sunshine this Bank Holiday Monday… which around always feels slightly optimistic. ☀️

So if the weather does decide to behave, join us at Porto Restaurant from 12pm till 3pm for our Sunday Roast, served together with our specials.

Perfectly cooked roast beef, crisp roast potatoes, Yorkshire puddings and rich homemade gravy - exactly the kind of lunch a long weekend deserves.

And afterwards?Maybe a stroll by Lake Windermere while the sunshine lasts. 🍷

Looking at today’s weather, nobody would believe that sunshine is actually on its way… ☀️

And yet somehow the Lakes are about to turn into summer again - apparently just for a few days, which feels suspiciously un-British. 🇬🇧

So if there was ever a time for a drive to Bowness, a glass of wine and a slow evening at Porto, this might be it. There’s just something about good food, warmer evenings and a little bit of Lake District sunshine that makes people stop checking the time. 🍷✨

And honestly… that’s exactly how it should be.
