What a weekend… ❤️🍦🏁

As I sit here with blistered hands, aching arms and a very tired body, I honestly couldn’t be happier.

It is always such an honour to be invited back to The Octane Terrace at Silverstone Hospitality for the British Grand Prix. To be trusted with such an incredible event for the second year running means more to me than I can say.

Over the last two days, Gigi, Mo and I served an amazing 1,800 ice creams. We laughed, chatted and scooped our way through the weekend, and meeting so many wonderful people was an absolute privilege.

One of my favourite moments is when people come back to the van just to tell us how incredible the ice cream is. It happened over and over again this weekend, and it never fails to make me smile. That’s exactly why I chose The Saffron Ice Cream Company all those years ago. Their ice cream is exceptional, and hearing your lovely comments reminds me, every single time, that we made the right decision.

There were moments this weekend when I simply stopped, looked at the queues, looked at Gigi, and felt overwhelmed with gratitude. Five and a half years ago, after losing my wonderful Graham, I could never have imagined that life would lead me here. Naming this beautiful little van after him (GG- Gorgeous Graham) means that, in a way, a little piece of him is still out there making people smile. That thought will never stop meaning the world to me.

To everyone who queued, chatted, laughed with us, came back for another scoop, or simply stopped to admire Gigi… thank you. You made this weekend so special.

Running a small business isn’t always easy. There are long days, worries, breakdowns, blisters and moments when you wonder if it’s all worth it. Then weekends like this happen, and you remember exactly why you keep going.

A huge thank you to my amazing sidekick, Mo, who worked tirelessly beside me all weekend, keeping the queues moving, laughing through the madness and helping make the whole experience such fun. I couldn’t have done 1,800 scoops without you. ❤️

So many people say this is the best mint chocolate chip ice cream they’ve ever tasted!

Hold up... Your mint chocolate isn't... Green?!

Yep! And we're very proud of it. No food colouring here!

Although mint leaves are indeed vibrant green, when they are pressed for their essential oils, this is in fact a pale yellow colour.... And that is what we use!

We proudly use a British grown heritage peppermint oil to make all our Mint Chocolate ice cream... It's refreshing with a long lasting minty hit, and if that wasn't good enough we generously scatter in dark chocolate chards to compliment.

Give this absolute classic a go next time you see it for sale!

Another beautiful wedding for Gigi this weekend. 💗🍦

One of the things I love most about this job is that I get a front-row seat to some of life’s happiest moments.

Today was filled with laughter, hugs, paintings, board games, dancing, sunshine and, of course, plenty of ice cream. Watching guests come together to celebrate a couple’s love story is something I never take for granted.

As much as I adore the buzz of a wedding day, there is something rather special about the journey home too.

The last ice cream has been served. The guests have gone off to continue the celebrations. The sun begins to dip a little lower in the sky, and Gigi and I head home through the beautiful Northamptonshire countryside.

It’s in those quiet moments that I often find myself feeling incredibly grateful.

Grateful for every couple who chooses Gigi and myself to be part of their day.

Grateful for this little pink van that brings so much joy.

And grateful that after all these years, weddings still feel just as magical as they did when I started.

Today was one of those slightly magical, wonderfully bonkers days that reminded me just how much love, creativity and effort goes into building a brand…💕🍦💕

We took Gigi into beautiful Evenley Wood Garden for something a little whimsical, a little fairytale, and a lot of fun… and of course it wouldn’t be a proper shoot without a little chaos too!

I don’t have many behind-the-scenes photos, we were too busy having fun but today was filled with laughter, creativity, friendship and a whole lot of magic… and I already know the final images are going to be something really special.

Sometimes building something beautiful means stepping into the woods, trusting the vision, and possibly getting changed behind a tree… ✨🌸
