🎣 We're Hiring: Part-Time Fish Fryer🐟
Do you have a passion for perfectly golden batter? Can you tell the difference between cod and haddock with your eyes closed (or at least squinting)? Are you ready to take your talents to a sizzling new level? If so, we want you behind our fryer!
We’re a friendly, fast-paced fish and chip shop looking for a Fish Fryer Extraordinaire to join our team. — we don’t do anything by halves, except fish portions when requested).
🧂 What you’ll be doing:
Frying fish to crispy, golden perfection (obviously).
Making sure our chips are just the right level of crunchy/fluffy magic.
Keeping your station clean enough to impress even the harshest nan.
Helping out customers with a smile (even the ones who want vinegar but not too much vinegar).
Occasionally dodging seagulls with ninja-like reflexes.
🎓 What we’re looking for:
Previous frying or kitchen experience is ideal, but if you're keen to learn and don’t mind smelling vaguely of delicious fried food at all times, we’re happy to train.
Someone who isn’t afraid to throw around sacks of potatoes.
A cool head under pressure (or at least one that doesn’t explode during the Friday night rush).
A sense of humour — it gets hot back there, and laughter is cooler than an extractor fan.
Good timekeeping, team spirit, and a love for salt and vinegar.
