Why not try SPEED GAMING for your next Saturday night social! Our next SPEED GAMING event is on Saturday 13th June, 7pm - 10pm. A table host at each table with 4 or 5 easy-to-learn games. A different game with a different group of people every half hour! You never know, you might fall in love with a new game!

Try a new game at Outside The Box this week - with 250+ games, and a team of volunteers to teach, we have something for everyone.

🐉 Kids Dungeons and Dragons - we have a taster session at 12pm on Friday 5th June.

🀄️ Mahjong - we have a beginners session at 7pm on Friday 5th June

🎴 Dominion - are teaching this classic strategic card game at 12pm on Saturday 6th June.

You’re never too old to learn a board game.

My love of board games possibly comes from my dad, Peter Eade. As a boy, he would ask for the latest Waddingtons game every Christmas. I found a stash of his vintage games at my grandparents’ house when I was a kid, and it was like finding treasure! 🪎

Over the years my dad stopped playing board games. He’s now 76 years old and thinks he’s now too old to learn strategy games. So I’ve been really keen to get him to play a game at Outside The Box.

He’s loves Roman history and devours books about Rome. So I finally tempted him in with an awesome game called Foundations of Rome. My dad enjoyed the miniature buildings and buying plots with silver coins. It was a very special evening.

Bring your loved ones to the board game cafe and we’ll do our best to find you the perfect game.

👏Congratulations to 9 year old Liam for topping the 25/26 Outside The Box Fantasy Premier League. ⚽

🎓This is no fluke. Liam and his assistant manager, Grandad Eade, are a tactical force to be reckoned with. Liam also knows lots about international football and we’re looking forward to seeing his World Cup team in July. 🏆
