The Salt Shed Sunday roast is arguably our proudest piece of work. For years we was asked by landlords to put a roast on, but we always decided, if we are going to do it we are going to do it properly. Then when we did.. it become our busiest day.

But in food, you always have to evolve.. we thought we could add some tweaks that take it that much further. We now dry age all of our roast sirloins in house, Lara our big boss lady had put on delicious sausage stuffing balls with cranberry sauce, and we’ve worked on a crispy pork belly side with bacon and apple jam, that takes you to the deeper darker depths of meat heaven that you didn’t know existed.

There is always something mad going on outside of our resturant on the Brighton sea front. Whether that’s fire shows, buskers, crazy people, silent discos, wrestling or even a flash mob. You think you’ve seen it all until you haven’t. We love you Brighton… never change!!

Is this the biggest full English breakfast in the country?

Grilled bone marrow, Sausages, HP gravy, eggs, three different type of bacon, a bacon chop, smoked crispy panchetta, hot smoked bbq pastrami bacon, mushrooms, black pudding, beans, tomato’s, sourdough toast, smashed butter browns.

There might be some bigger breakfasts, but this is certainly the bougiest one…

Luckily, we’ve never had to.

Instead, our customers come in, have a great meal, tell their friends, post amazing photos and videos, and keep coming back. That has always meant far more to us than any paid promotion ever could.

Social media might get people through the door for the first time, but the only thing that keeps a restaurant going is word of mouth and loyal regulars.

So this is a little thank you to every single one of you who visits us regularly, shares a post, leaves a review or simply recommends us to your friends and family.

It genuinely means the world to a small independent business like ours.
