We pride ourselves in serving seasonal, fresh, uncomplicated food with the emphasis on ingredients & great local produce. We've bottled beers a plenty, guest ales & an ever changing & evolving wine list. Chicken or aubergine schnitzel with Caesar salad.
Monkfish, prawn, squid and anchovy Frito Misto with salsa verde and rocket salad.
Bavette steak with chimichurri and mixed salad.
Dark chocolate, cherry, honeycomb and pistachio parfait.
All available in a beautiful garden.

We have our gorgeous roasts as always and plenty of mains and small plates too 🍽️

A few new items on the menu for June, including salmon, monkfish and prawn burger, BBQ brisket burger with kimchi slaw and crispy shallots, Lamb, red wine and vegetable pie, monkfish and prawns summer stew.
Don’t forget we have one of the best secret gardens in Brighton- for when the sun surely shines again.

Hey- just a little hello; in the last week I’ve been asked multiple times’if we’re still open’ or ‘I thought you’d closed’ or ‘has this place reopened’
We never closed, the ran one article about the landlord receiving planning permission. That is all, small independent businesses are struggling enough right know, without half of Brighton thinking we’re closed. So please, please, please spread the word, otherwise we will be closed sooner rather than later.
Back open from 5pm tomorrow.

And yes, before we get all the ‘only open Thursday- Sunday’ we know we’re not open everyday, this is what when can afford to operate, when we opened 13 years ago we opened lunch and dinner 6 days a week, but we operating costs have soared in that time.

It’s fish Friday, back from our holidays.
Fish and chips as always but a new dish of local monkfish & king prawn summer stew with ciabatta and saffron aioli.
Two new pies on the menu as well.
