We have only one week to go until Bristol Ukulele Festival 2026 at Hen and Chicken. Here are some common FAQ answers and we can't wait to see you there...
Do I need to play the ukulele to attend?
Not at all! Everyone is welcome. Whether you're a player, music lover, or simply curious, we'd love to see you there.
Is the festival family-friendly?
Yes! Enjoy family-friendly performances and workshops throughout the day, with great food available from The Hen & Chicken.
Please note: Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult and must leave the venue by 7pm.
How do I get there?
The Hen & Chicken
210 North Street, Southville, Bristol BS3 1JF
• Parking: Limited on-street parking (resident/pay & display restrictions apply between 9am-5pm, Mon–Sat).
• Train: Bedminster (15-minute walk) or Parson Street (20-minute walk).
• Bus: Routes 24 and 75 stop on North Street.
• Taxi: Easily accessible from across Bristol.
Can I buy tickets on the door?
Yes, subject to availability. Door tickets are £18.50 (cash only).
Can I book in for a workshop on the day of the festival?
No, all workshop tickets must be booked in advance, and the ticket shop closes on July 10th. You must also have a general admission ticket to attend a workshop.
What time do doors open?
12:30pm
Do I need to print my e-ticket?
No. Simply show your e-ticket on your phone when you arrive.
Can I bring my own food and drink?
You're welcome to bring a refillable water bottle. All other food and drink must be purchased from the venue.
Is the venue accessible?
• Main Stage: First floor via stairs only (no lift).
• Workshops: Ground floor with four steps.
• Main Bar & Restaurant: Accessible with an accessible toilet.
*The Hen and Chicken has spent a lot of time investigating solutions to rectify accessibility access however, like many old buildings, there is not enough width in the staircase / infrastructure to add in accessibility points.
