Hi friends 🤗 The time has come to confirm in public the rumours that have been flying around (started by me 🤷) that Milk Teeth will indeed be closing at the end of January.
I won’t say much about it here (although I could, and almost did) because I suspect I could very easily over-egg the pudding. But I will say it’s ; no-one’s forcing me out due to being suddenly thrust into poverty by the deadly virus. Rather, this past year has given me a lot of clarity of vision, and I’m looking ahead to an exciting light shining on the horizon, which is sadly incompatible with owning and running a coffee shop. Feel free to come prize more information out of me in person if you’d like 😉
I’ve enjoyed the last four years very much, though it has definitely been very hard at times (for example, kneeling in a flooded kitchen while cupboards literally disintegrate around me). What I have loved most about the journey has been the people: the staff I’ve been honoured to employ and work alongside, and the customers who have made my days colourful and wonderful and challenging and revitalising and lovely. Some of you guys have been coming here since day one, and I still haven’t managed to figure out why (but I suspect it may be the hash I put in your coffee). Anyway, I feel mightily blessed to have been on this journey and to have met all of you 🥰 I really mean that.
Practically, this means I only have two (maybe three) weeks left of trading before I clear out my locker, starting tomorrow (Monday 4th). Come see me, please. I really want to see you. Let me make you your last Milk Teeth coffee of all time. Maybe buy some of my crap I have to shift (y’know, for old times’ sake). But definitely come and say bye 😭 I’m not moving out of Bristol, so chances are you’ll catch me at some other coffee joint before long, shading my eyes and trying not to be recognised as I sip my oat flat white like a massive celeb. But for now, come and help me see out the last couple of weeks in style.
Love you all!
♥️ Josh
