Double trouble 👯‍♀️

Whipped up a couple of fresh carrot cakes for the morning cos you lot love abit of carrot cake.

I’ve never been much of a fan of carrot cake, I think it’s down to a severe hatred of raisins. And they’re always bloody hidden in there.

Well, there’s no raisins in these beauties and they’re banging as a result. Topped with cream cheese icing and a load of chopped nuts including pistachios, not a crazy amount mind because a 1kg bag of pistachios just set me back by £63.95 and I haven’t slept all week thinking about it 🤧

Anyway. Back to raisins, do they belong in carrot cake or not?

Due to the heat over the next couple of days, we’ll be closing a little earlier than usual at 2:30pm.

We’re finding that both our team and of our stock are struggling in these temperatures, so we’re making the call to finish a little earlier to keep everyone (and try our cakes!) at their best.

We’ll still be open as normal in the morning with coffee, cakes, sandwiches and all the usual goodies although we are keeping all kitchen equipment off temporarily so slight adjustment as we’ve not offering anything hot temporarily. So if you’re planning to pop in, we’d love to see you before 2:30pm.
