Hi folks , yes , we're still here !! 😅 one more week to go .

The reason for this post is just to say how much we are enjoying hearing people's stories and memories about the Jolly Fryer . It's seen a few owners over the years and quite a few changes.

Please come in and share your memories with us or feel free to tell us on this page , it would be lovely to hear . Whether it's remembering your free bag of chips as a child when the shop first opened or if it was a regular Friday teatime treat with Grandparents , we would love to hear .

UPDATE AS PROMISED 😊

Hello to all our lovely customers ,

We are STILL OPEN for this week and next week .
Our last day of trading will be SATURDAY 1ST AUGUST.

Dave and I would love to see as many of you as possible before we leave and have to say our farewells . We really do appreciate all the conversations and laughs ( and the odd tear )
shared with you over our 18 years at ' Burneside chippy ' . However , I ought to warn you all that Dave is wearing his shorts at the moment , so please don't look too far over the counter !!! 😅😲

And finally......To stop any more speculation , we can confirm that Mr Mark Cropper has bought the Jolly Fryer .

Hi everyone , so ....the shop did sell at auction yesterday , 16th July , HOWEVER , we are STILL OPEN , so please come and see us before we go 😊 . X

Hello again , we're on holiday ( again ) next week . This one was booked for us , so it's not our fault 😉😅 and it would be rude not to go !!

We're so pleased with the write up in the Gazette and grateful for all the comments . However we would like to remind people that

WE ARE STILL OPEN ,

not sold up and retired yet 😁⛱️🍹🍾 .
