Paradise WMC

Paradise WMC Working mens club, We are a very friendly working mens club not far from the hospital in Burnley. We joined the C.I.U.

There has been a building on this site since 1850 when it occupied a strategic point on the road to Skipton, at the time the main road across the Pennines. The building (then a Bake house and stables) was bought by Councillor William Whittaker and the club was born. in 1903 and was used as a soup kitchen during WWII. The building burned down in 1968 but was rebuilt on the old site. We have a good

sized function room with a 10' drop down TV screen Used to show major sporting events. A Lounge and games room with a 3/4 sized snooker table. We hold Functions throughout the year both private and public, and with Bingo on Sunday and Monday and entertainment every Sunday night we cater for all ages. Our Staff are ;- Claire (Stewardess), Helen,Simon,Inola, Hanna
