tables where you can enjoy the quality meals, snacks and drinks prepared by Kaye and her staff. Springslade Lodge is ideally placed for all sorts of exciting and different outdoor family party activities. Springslade Lodge is ideally placed for walkers and ramblers enjoying the Cannock Chase heathland, horse riders using the many bridleways, mountain bike riders, road cyclists and the camping and caravan enthusiasts who can make use of the hideaway camping site behind the Lodge. It is also ideally placed for visitors to the Commonwealth War Graves and the Katyn Memorial (approx 400m from the Tea Room).

🌿 Top Tip with Rob, Our Gardener! 🌿

When watering pots, don’t just give them a quick splash! Water slowly and thoroughly until you see it draining from the bottom. This helps the roots grow deeper and keeps your plants healthier, especially during warm weather.

For an extra boost, water early in the morning or later in the evening to reduce evaporation and make every drop count. 💧🌸

🌟 A Big Thank You to Oscar! 🌟

We were delighted to welcome Oscar to Springslade Lodge for his work experience placement.

During his time with us, Oscar got stuck into every opportunity that came his way. He learnt valuable baking skills in the kitchen, developed his customer service skills while interacting with customers and colleagues, and even rolled up his sleeves to help with some of the deep cleaning!

Oscar showed enthusiasm, a great work ethic, and a willingness to learn throughout his placement. It was a pleasure to have him as part of the team, and we hope he enjoyed his time with us as much as we enjoyed having him.

We wish Oscar every success in the future and thank him for all his hard work. Good luck, Oscar! 💙

⚠️ **Weather Warning – Service Update** ⚠️

In line with the weather warning currently in place, we will be implementing the following operational changes on **Wednesday and Thursday**:

• Hot food service will conclude at **2:00 PM** on both days.

If you’re visiting and enjoying the Chase, please remember to stay safe in the hot weather. We have parasols available to provide shaded seating areas, and our water fountain is ready for you to refill your water bottles throughout the day.

We appreciate your understanding as we take steps to support the wellbeing of our team during the period of extreme temperatures.
