our youngest team member, born in south africa and one of the friendliest, chattiest faces you’ll meet at parallel. off the clock, her friends call her arabizzal. 😆

now for the controversial bit: she loves her sirloin rare. we’re not judging (much). 🥩

passionfruit front and centre, and this one is all about the tropical. sweet, sour and perfectly balanced, so it’s dangerously easy to sip.

gordal olives. 🫒

big, plump and ridiculously juicyyy. these are the olives that make you wonder why you ever settled for the small ones.

simple, salty and the perfect thing to nibble on with a cocktail while you decide what else to order. 🍸

padrons= one of the OGs. 🧡🧡

padron peppers have been a favourite across pasture & parallel for years, and they’re still flying out of the kitchen.

charred in the basket, finished with sumac salt, then served with arguably the best bit, our garlic yoghurt. the garlic is roasted until soft, blended smooth, then folded through thick yoghurt and left to set into the creamiest dip. 😮‍💨

don’t be surprised if you end up asking for another pot. it really is that good.

starter, side, picky bit… whatever you want them for, they’re always a good idea.👀

meet brad, who’s just hit three years at parallel!! 🫶🫶

from his positivity and, quite frankly, hilarious personality to his insane talent in the kitchen, he brings a lot to parallel and we’re very lucky to have him.

after 20 years as a chef, we asked brad what he still loves working with most. the answer was simple: whatever’s fresh and in season. seafood and fresh fish are firmly at the top of the list, so a good catch coming through the kitchen is very much his kind of day.👨‍🍳👨‍🍳

outside of parallel, his proudest role is being dad to his little boy, who’s just turned two. 🥹

happy 3 years, brad. we adore you.

the parallel bar family. 🍸🍸

you’ll usually find this lot behind the bar, coffee in hand at 12, shaking cocktails throughout the day and probably having a little boogie somewhere in between.

they’re the ones mixing the drinks, talking you through the w**e list and bringing a lot of personality to the bar. a fair few cocktails have even started as one of their ideas, memories or little “what if we tried this?” moments.😆

parallel announcement! 🚨

our new autumn drinks menu is on the way. 🍸

before we get onto the new ones, a little love for one
that had to stay, lost in paradise. bittersweet, tropical
and finished with what might just be the best garnish of
the lot. chocolate, obviously.

our bar is open 12–3 & 5–9:30 on weekdays, and all
day on weekends.🥃😮‍💨👀

the dish you lot cannot stop ordering. 👀

our smoked feta has OFFICIALLY worked its way to the top spot, overtaking the carrot. yes, crazy news in parallel!

smoked over charcoal, then blended until super smooth and creamy, before being finished with hot honey for that sweet but spicy combo. 🌶️

our advice? you have to pair it with the confit garlic flatbread. partly for the obvious dipping purposes, but mainly so you can get every last bit and leave the bowl polished clean.

if you haven’t tried it yet, surely this has convinced you. 😋😋😋
