A not-for-profit space to welcome, support, engage and inspire our Roath community.

Roath Park Primary is a vibrant school with a big imagination for new projects and family engagement. However, we are frequently limited by our beautiful, but space-poor Victorian building. As such we have renovated the corner shop, which had been closed for many years, to use as a space to engage children, parents and the wider school community in innovative ways of learning. The Corner will be u

sed for anything from a cafe space open Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings for children to help run and manage, parent classes and workshops, story sessions, a focus for projects developing children's social and emotional skills, food co-operatives, parent led activities and much more. Just renovating and preparing The Corner for its grand opening has enabled us to take a big step out into our community with staff, parents, children and local businesses all working together to complete it. This has been our vision from the beginning and we have used our richest resource - the talents, enthusiasm and commitment of our school community to make it a reality.

Not long until the big day now 🎅🏻!Santa's elves are scurrying around and our own little workforce has also been very busy.

Happily, we’re finally starting to make progress with our renovations. It’s fair to say, we’ve had more hurdles to overcome than we could have ever anticipated, but we’re getting closer to being able to announce our reopening 🎉.

We’ve really missed supporting and meeting with our wonderful Roath community!

Until then, we wish you all a very happy and peaceful Christmas 🎄

Hello everyone, we are looking for a Roath/Penylan solicitor who might be able to help The Corner Charity with some basic lease contract paperwork - an essential part of opening our community space. Is anyone able to help or recommend someone?

We raised an amazing £1,115 for the at our yard sale and still counting! We had such a fantastic turnout and the rain only increased the support and solidarity for this important cause. Thank you again, wonderful community & friends 💕🌈

We’re having a sparkling day here at The Corner ✨.

Thanks to some soap, water, a dash of elbow grease and a home made cleaning contraption, our windows are gleaming again.

We may not currently have a floor, electricity or running water, but The Corner’s still working its community magic - so many people have stopped to chat, wave, smile and ask us about this special place. 😊

And the funding we’ve received from The National Lottery Community Fund means we’re getting a step closer to reopening each week 🙌🏻!

We're thrilled to announce that our application for National Lottery Community Funding has been successful! We couldn't be happier about this - the committee liked our application and want to help our community thrive, which is exactly what we're all about. This extra funding means our renovations and refurbishments are firmly on track for 2021. Thank you National Lottery, from a very happy community charity!😃🥳
