🌼 Dydd Gwyl Dewi Hapus *Update* 🌼
Happy St Davids day! As you may have read many a post a go, orders are on hold here. Before covid, acting was my main job, and verrrry thankfully my obsession with food and therefor this, kept me afloat during lockdowns etc. Luckily now though I’m back acting. One job came to an end on Friday and I’m starting on another next week which takes me through until July. When work does inevitably dry up again, I will of course happily accept orders again.
In the meantime, obviously the situation in Ukraine is very upsetting and worrying, and I’m trying to figure out if there’s time to do a fundraising supper club along side filming. I haven’t thought it all through yet but I’m currently thinking if it happens that the best place to send the money will be to Ukrainian chef Olia Hercules, who’s brother and parents are still in Ukraine. She has been furiously trying to arrange help for civilians like her brother and she will know far better than me where the money collected will be most needed and best used. I will try and figure out what the best thing to do is and keep you posted.
If it happens, it’ll be an evening of solely Ukrainian and Russian food, traditional Ukrainian music, and with all proceeds going towards helping Ukraine in whatever way we can.
I do recommend following Olia Hercules, she’s a brilliant chef, whos currently sharing a lot of stuff about how the situation is for normal people in Ukraine that we don’t really get on the news. I’m not tagging her as she’s being inundated with messages in regards to help and donations and I don’t want to clog up her time with just a ramble.
