ay to what turned out to be the most memorable trip of my life (well 16 years of it) and where the seeds for Hack the stack were first sown.. Draped over her kitchen counter, jet lagged and homesick, she said in her soothing southern accent “Well Natalieee.. I got some pancakes for ya”. Expecting the thin, limp crepes we get back home, I was suddenly hit by the sweet smell of maple syrup, butter, cinnamon and sweet, sweet caramel. And There, steaming away, with maple syrup slowly covering all areas of each pancake, stood a 3 tier masterpiece, “What’d you think?”
That’s when my love affair with stacks of pancakes began. That was over 20 years ago and I still get excited about pancakes.
