๐ŸŒŸ Volunteers' Week 2026 โ€“ Day 6 ๐ŸŒŸ

Today we're celebrating the volunteers whose work often goes unseen but whose impact is felt across everything we do.

Behind every successful project, fundraiser, event and service is a team of volunteers working quietly behind the scenes. From supporting administration and governance to helping with fundraising, maintenance, marketing, event planning and practical tasks, these volunteers help keep Springbank Community Group moving forward.

We'd also like to recognise our Board of Directors, who volunteer their time to provide leadership, oversight and strategic direction for the organisation. Alongside their own work, family and personal commitments, they help ensure that we remain sustainable, accountable and focused on meeting the needs of our community.

Many of these volunteers rarely seek recognition, yet their contribution enables us to support thousands of people each year through our pantry, cafรฉ, youth work, Digi Hub, community green spaces and family support services.

To everyone who gives their time behind the scenes, attends meetings, completes paperwork, organises events, raises funds, maintains buildings or helps solve the countless challenges that come with running a growing charity โ€“ thank you.

Your dedication helps make everything else possible. ๐Ÿ’š

๐Ÿ‘ Please join us in thanking our behind-the-scenes volunteers and volunteer directors in the comments below.

We would like to say a big thank you to Nigel for your wonderful donations โ˜บ๏ธ

๐ŸŒŸ Volunteers' Week 2026 โ€“ Day 5 ๐ŸŒŸ

Today we're celebrating the volunteers who help keep our community growing.

Our allotment and community green spaces volunteers dedicate countless hours throughout the year to planting, watering, weeding, harvesting and maintaining spaces that benefit the whole community.

The fresh produce grown on our allotment helps support both our Community Food Pantry and Community Cafรฉ, ensuring locally grown fruit and vegetables can make their way directly onto people's plates.

But their contribution goes far beyond growing food. They help create welcoming outdoor spaces where people can connect with nature, improve their wellbeing, learn new skills and spend time with others.

Through rain, shine and everything in between, these volunteers continue to show up with enthusiasm, determination and a real passion for making a difference.

To everyone who has dug, planted, watered, harvested, maintained a flower bed or helped keep our green spaces looking their best โ€“ thank you. Your hard work helps make our community healthier, greener and more connected. ๐Ÿ’š

๐ŸŒŸ Volunteers' Week 2026 โ€“ Day 4 ๐ŸŒŸ

Today we're celebrating the amazing volunteers who support our youth and family programmes.

Many of our volunteers spend their days at work before giving up their evenings and weekends to support children, young people and families across our community. Their dedication helps create opportunities that simply wouldn't exist without them.

Whether it's at our youth clubs in Springbank, Brizen and Churchdown, supporting Ignite, helping at Stay and Play, assisting with holiday programmes or volunteering at special events and trips, they help create safe, welcoming spaces where people can build confidence, make friends and access support.

We're also incredibly proud of our Young Leaders, who give their time to support younger participants and help deliver activities.

A special mention must go to the volunteers who support Peace Camp, our international youth exchange programme. From fundraising and planning to supporting participants and hosting visiting groups, their hard work helps create life-changing opportunities for young people and builds friendships across Europe.

To every volunteer who has run a game, supported a session, organised a fundraiser, accompanied a trip or given up their free time to support others โ€“ thank you. Your commitment makes a real difference and helps ensure children, young people and families have access to the opportunities they deserve. ๐Ÿ’š
