288 will be hosting our first Community Lunch on Tuesday 20th December at 12:00 for 12.30 pm.
Everyone is welcome to join us. You are particularly welcome if you can’t afford a Christmas treat, or if the cost of living has become too much, or you want to come somewhere warm to sit or you simply want some company for lunch.
We will be serving a buffet lunch of spring rolls (v), sweet & sour chicken (gf), vegan Singapore noodles (v/gf), vegetable curry (v/gf), steamed rice (gf) and prawn crackers. We hope there is something for everyone.
We will provide water and squash to drink. Please note that we will not be serving alcohol and respectfully ask that none is bought in. Tea and coffee will be available.
Most importantly, there will be no charge for lunch.
If you would like to come for lunch, please email us at [email protected]. Please state your name, contact number and the number of guests (max 4 per booking). Places are very limited and will be on a first come first served basis. Booking is essential.
When you book there's absolutely no need to explain why you're coming for lunch. We're just happy you can come.
If a local business or anyone would like to help financially, you can do so by purchasing a “Community Lunch £5” via our app. The online minimum order spend has been removed. Should contributions exceed the cost of the Lunch, the excess will be donated to Trussell Trust Food Bank.
