Good Afternoon,
At the permission of Rob Funnell, we wish to share the sad passing of his loving wife Rita. The couple were regulars of the bar and always made the team and our other patrons smile and laugh.
Rita had a love of dogs and loved to say hello to everyone that had brought their dog in. Both Rob and Rita used to enjoy talking to our Thursday football team too.
She will be sadly missed but fondly remembered.
We wish to pass on that her funeral will be on Wednesday 20th May at The Chester Crematorium at 11:20am, for anybody wishing to attend.
Bar Manager Craig will be there to support Rob.

Good Afternoon,
I wish to say a big thank you to owners Tom & Emma, our Sandstone Bar crew, Jen, Steph & Rich and teams from our sister bars Bluestone Bar and Wealstone.
Sadly I am going to be off work for a minimum of two weeks. I have a fractured tibia in my left leg, so am needing some time to recover.

I made the decision to pull out of the London Marathon on Sunday after 15km as I was in excruciating pain and realised something was seriously wrong with my left leg.
Two other runners collided with me earlier in the race causing me injury that I thought I could shake off. My 5in5 challenge will need to be rescheduled to another time.
The amount of messages from people has been overwhelming and very much appreciated.
Thank you to you all for continuing to support the bar that I love. I hope to see you all sometime soon.

Polly's Brew Co. have always been one of our favourite, local breweries and we’re now happy to say we’ve got a permanent Polly’s rotational line on meaning there’ll always be a pollys on tap! It will vary from their specials, their core range and icons range! First up Root and Stem, a 5.7% DDH brewed for international women’s day! Cheers 🍻👍🏼

We have the special Budvar Reserve pouring on keg! We were lucky to try this from the tank on our visit last year to the brewery.
A delightful 7.5% extra matured Czech Lager, sweeter than the traditional 5% Budvar we stock.
