We’re working on one of the most exciting projects we’ve ever created, and it’s going to take place at the BRAND NEW Backstage Theatre Bar Chester, and we’d love for our community to be part of it.

Without giving too much away… we’re looking for stories.

We’re searching for the people who have made Chester’s LGBTQ+ community what it is today.

The performers. The activists. The organisers. The venue owners. The volunteers. The friends. The people who made you feel welcome. The people who inspired you to be yourself. The people who made a lasting difference.

We don’t just want names—we want the moments that made them unforgettable.

🎭✨ PLACES, EVERYONE… BACKSTAGE CHESTER IS NEARLY READY FOR SHOWTIME! ✨🎭

The overture is playing, the spotlight is warming up, the props are almost in place, and we are officially down to the final scene before we open our doors on Godstall Lane.

We’re currently adding the last touches, putting the finishing flourishes in place, waiting on the final bits of signage, and making sure every little detail is ready for its grand entrance. Think less “tech rehearsal chaos” and more “opening night magic incoming.” 🍸⭐

From show-stopping cocktails to musical theatre madness, stagey surprises, dramatic décor, and enough theatrical energy to make the Phantom leave the opera house for a pint… Backstage Chester is almost ready to take its bow.

We don’t have the exact opening date just yet, but we can officially say we are opening in July, and once the curtain rises, you are all invited to step into the spotlight with us.

Feel free to pop by if you’re passing and have a little nosey — we’ll be at the venue non-stop now, getting everything ready behind the scenes.

So warm up those vocals, cue the lights, raise the curtain, and get ready…

The sun is shining, the stage is set, and here at Backstage Theatre Bar we’re busy putting the final flourishes on our grand production. Costumes are pressed, lights are warming, and the bar is just about ready to take centre stage… 🍸🎭

Our cast and crew (Jay & Matt) have been working tirelessly behind the curtain, and we can’t wait to raise it for you all.

🎭✨ It’s almost time to raise the curtain… ✨🎭

The spotlight is warming, the orchestra is tuning, and behind the stage door something spectacular is about to take centre stage…

Welcome to Backstage Bar, Chester’s brand new musical theatre haven, opening on Godstall Lane! 🍸🎶

Before we officially drop the curtain on opening night, we’ll be hosting a series of exclusive, invite-only soft openings to make sure every cue, every note, and every cocktail hits just right:

🎟 Monday 11th May – 6PM–12AM
🎟 Tuesday 12th May – 6PM–12AM
🎟 Wednesday 13th May – 6PM–12AM

These preview performances are our final dress rehearsals — a chance to fine-tune the magic before the big debut.
