π A little update from all of us at Lynda's Cakes & Tearooms π
Some of you may have noticed that Lynda hasn't been around as much recently. We wanted to let you know that she has been taking some time away from the tearoom after being diagnosed with breast cancer and is currently undergoing treatment.
First of all, please don't panic. Lynda is doing well, she's on the right path, and she's tackling this with every bit of strength and determination she has. πͺπ The love and support from her family, friends, staff, and all of our wonderful customers has meant the world to her and has helped her every step of the way.
Lynda's daughter has stepped up in a huge way, taking on the responsibility of keeping both the tearoom and the Cake Shed running smoothly. She's working twice as hard behind the scenes to make sure everything continues as normal while also making sure her mum doesn't do too much. As many of you know, getting Lynda to slow down is no easy task, but right now her priority is to rest, recover, and focus on getting better. β€οΈ
We'd also like to say a massive thank you to Michala for everything she's done to support us throughout this time. Alongside looking after and running her own family, she's been there to help keep the tearooms going whenever we've needed her. Your kindness, dedication and support haven't gone unnoticed, and we honestly can't thank you enough. You are amazing! π
There may be the odd occasion where we need to open a little later or close a little earlier to allow for hospital appointments and treatment, but we'll always keep you updated if that's the case. We really appreciate your patience, understanding, and continued support during this time.
As we begin an exciting new chapter, we'd also like to take a moment to say a huge thank you to Emma for the last 5 years. β€οΈ
Emma has been a valued part of our team, and we're so grateful for all of her hard work, dedication, and the care she's shown over the years. We wish her every success and happiness as she starts her new venture.
Over the next few weeks, you'll notice lots of new faces as we welcome new members to our team. We're excited for you to meet them all! You'll also be seeing Lynda out front more whenever she's feeling well enough, helping to settle everyone in and supporting the teamβalthough we'll all be making sure she doesn't overdo it!
Finally, we'd like to say a heartfelt thank you to everyone who has visited us recently and for your patience and support while we've been training our new staff and adapting to all of these changes. Your kindness, understanding, and loyalty mean more than you'll ever know.
Here's to Emma's exciting new adventure, to welcoming our new team members, and to Lynda continuing to get stronger every day. Thank you all for being part of our journeyβwe truly couldn't do it without you. ππ°
