Born in the sun-soaked city of Catania, Sicily, Pasta alla Norma is one of the island’s most loved culinary classics. Its name is believed to pay tribute to Norma, the famous opera by Catania-born composer Vincenzo Bellini. Legend has it that playwright Nino Martoglio tasted the dish and declared it was “una vera Norma” — a true masterpiece. ❤️
