Over the years, we’ve seen more and more restaurants do away with children’s colouring sheets and pencils.

We understand why. These days it’s often easier to hand over an iPad or a phone. But let’s be honest, the sounds, videos and games can sometimes become a little distracting.

At The Anchor, we wanted to offer a simple alternative.

So we’ve brought back good old-fashioned colouring sheets and pencils for our younger guests.

No flashing screens. No noisy videos. Just something fun to keep little hands busy while the grown-ups enjoy a chat and a meal together.

Of course, tablets and gadgets are always welcome too – we’re not the fun police! We simply think it’s nice to have another option.

Sometimes the simplest ideas make a difference.

🐾 We absolutely love welcoming your dogs to The Anchor – after all, they’re part of the family too!
Tonight we had the pleasure of meeting the gorgeous Mo and Woody, who joined us along with their lovely mum and dad for the evening.
Whether you’re popping in for a drink, a bite to eat, or simply a catch-up with friends, your four-legged companions are always welcome here.
