So we have set up a Go Fund Me Page for those who may not get to come to the Torchlight Parade, those who can but would still like to donate and, in particular, businesses who would like to donate or sponsor the community event. It is an expensive event to run and if we are going to see it grow, we need all the help we can get. Feel free to share.

We are hiring a part time kitchen wizard to work their culinary magic in our cafe.

16-20 hours per week over 3 days which includes Saturday.

We need someone with culinary skills and previous experience in a hospitality/catering environment. Good sense of humour is a plus alongside an ability to work well within a team in a busy setting. Over 18 years of age only.

Our fabulous friend Lucy from Glitterball Events is having an Easter Eggstravaganza packed full of Easter-themed fun, activities and surprises for you and your family to enjoy.
Don’t miss out! 🐣🌼

Not only will there be an Easter trail but also a fabulous wishing tree plus an outdoor art gallery to enjoy! Our Georgia from Child Action Northwest will be there too 🐰

Easter is just around the corner so let’s go with this years itinerary:

This Easter we’re EGGstatic to be giving you all things EGGS!

Meet us at castle grounds entrance near to tbe playpark to collect your trail map. Clues will direct you around the castle grounds to find eggs. Return your completed trail sheet and we’ll exchange it for a sweet treat prize.

Whilst on the trail, look out for the special Golden Eggs! If you find one, bring it back to the start and we’ll exchange it for an EGGstra prize.

As always, we’ll have our Easter bonnet competition in full swing. Bring your bonnets to the entrance point, we’ll take a snap of you in yours and a winner will be chosen on Sunday 20th April. This year we want to want to raise money for so as well as some of the trail profits going to them, we’re going to ask you to pay £2 for each entry into the Easter bonnet competition. The winner will receive a £20 voucher for to continue their creative skills 🙌🏼

BACK BY POPULAR DEMAND
Although traditionally done on the Sunday, we’re bringing egg rolling to the castle a day early. Boil and decorate an egg at home. Bring it along on Saturday, to roll it down the hill behind the play park. The winner will be the person whose egg makes it the furthest without braking.
Egg rolling will take place twice. Please note the times:

12pm and 2pm

-Please BRING A PEN
-£5 per child
-Last entry is 3.30pm
-The trail will take approx 30 mins to complete
-No pre-booking required. Just show up on the day anytime between 10-3.30pm. If you are on Facebook, please tick the ‘going’ box to give us an idea of numbers :)
-If your child has any special dietary needs, please contact us before the event so we can provide an alternative prize
-Pram and wheelchair friendly
-Dogs are permitted (on a lead)
